Terms and Conditions
GENERAL
The maximum amount claimable by residents participating in the rebate program is:-
- 50% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of $100 for reusable cloth nappy products;
- Rebate for cloth nappies includes cloth nappies, reusable swim nappies, reusable training nappies, reusable inner liner for nappies, reusable wet bags, reusable wipes associated with cloth nappies
- 50% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of $100 for reusable sanitary products; and 

Rebate for reusable sanitary pads, includes leak proof underwear.
- 50% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of $50 for reusable breast pads per household,
- for those that provide a receipt showing proof of purchase and prove that they are a resident of the City of Ballarat.
The rebate does not include transport costs, nappy hire, wipes containers, decorative
(ie not leaf-proof) nappy covers, postage/delivery or single-use items.
The applicant must reside in the property within the City of Ballarat that is requesting the rebate and provide proof of residence in the form of rates notice / utility account / drivers licence, which is a maximum of 3 months old.
Council will accept one application for each rebate per house household each financial year.
To apply for a rebate for each category, applicants will need to fill in a separate application for each.
The applicant must provide a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase. It must clearly identify the company name, date of purchase and name and cost of each item purchased.
Receipt or proof of purchase must be no older than 3 months and be whole, not a partial copy.
The proof of residence must be dated within 3 months of the proof of purchase date.
Applications are to be submitted online or if an applicant does not have computer access, applications can be completed at Council’s Customer Service at the Phoenix Building.
Successful applicants will have the rebate transferred to their nominated bank account within 21 days.
The City of Ballarat holds no responsibility for following up missing information supplied by the applicant.
The City of Ballarat holds the right to reject any application on the basis it is determined ineligible.
The rebate program may be paused at any time if Council’s budget allocation has
LEGAL NOTICE: It is an offence to knowingly provide false or misleading information to a public authority or a person performing duties under state and federal laws in Australia. Penalties include heavy fines and/or multi-year prison sentences. Any suspected fraudulent claims will be referred to the relevant authorities for investigation.
