  • Resident Users: who are resident at a household located in a Registered Council area and who use the website and our services to apply for a rebate from a Registered Council;

  • Council Users: who use the website and our services in connection with their employment or engagement by a Registered Council; and

  • Other Individuals: who are not Resident Users or Council Users but who interact with Rebately in the course of our business.

We may collect personal information from individuals in connection with more than one of the above categories, depending on how you interact with us and our products and services. We have provided specific guidance as to how we collect, use, and disclose personal information for each of these categories. Resident Users

Rebately is used by Resident Users to apply for and receive rebates from Registered Councils. When you enquire about Rebately services, create an account with Rebately, or otherwise interact with Rebately we may collect personal information from you.

What personal information do we collect from Resident Users?

We may collect the following types of personal information from Resident Users:

  • name;

  • residential address;

  • email address;

  • telephone number and other contact details;

  • bank account details;

  • login times and locations, and information on which parts of Rebately you have accessed and when;

  • your device ID, device type, geo-locations information, computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from our sites, network IP address, and standard web log information;

  • details of the products and services we have provided to you or that you have enquired about, including any additional information necessary to deliver those products and services and respond to your enquiries;

  • payment systems operators (eg. merchants receiving card payments);

Council Users

Authorised employees and contractors of Registered Councils may use Rebately and our services in connection with their employment or engagement. When a Council User creates an account or otherwise interacts with us we may collect personal information from you.

We may collect the following types of personal information from Council Users:

  • mailing or street address;

  • email address;

  • telephone number and other contact details;

  • employer details;

  • age or date of birth;

  • login times and locations, and information on which parts of Rebately you have accessed and when;

  • your device ID, device type, computer and connection information, statistics on page views, and standard web log information;

  • any additional information relating to you that you provide to us directly through our website or indirectly through your use of our website or through other websites or accounts from which you permit us to collect information;
