City of Canning residents can claim rebates on the purchase of solar panels, reusable nappies, reusable sanitary items, reusable incontinence products, composting and worm farming equipment as well as repairs on a range of products. All rebates are provided to help make it more afforable to go green. Sustainable products may cost a little more up-front, but in the long term they can save you – and the planet – much more.

It's predicted that by 2030, adult incontinence waste in Australia will be 4 to 10 times greater than baby nappy waste.
Stylish and comfortable reusable incontinence underwear is available from supermarkets, pharmacies, specialty retailers and online. It helps users save money, reduces pollution from manufacturing and raw material extraction and minimises waste.
A few conditions apply:
- The rebate is for 50% of the purchase price of eligible products (max $100).
- This rebate is only for reusable incontinence underwear and wet bags.
- The City will accept multiple rebate applications per household, up to the maximum rebate limit per category.
- You must upload an itemised receipt showing the date of purchase.
