Rebates
City of Canning residents can claim rebates on the purchase of solar panels, reusable nappies, reusable sanitary items, reusable incontinence products, composting and worm farming equipment as well as repairs on a range of products. All rebates are provided to help make it more afforable to go green. Sustainable products may cost a little more up-front, but in the long term they can save you – and the planet – much more.
Reusable Cloth Nappies
Affordable.
Super Cute.
Very Comfortable.
Every minute, more than 300,000 disposable nappies are incinerated, sent to landfill or end up in the environment around the globe. The disposable nappy market is among the biggest contributors to public waste globally.
Reusable nappies are an affordable and sustainable alternative.
The Australian Nappy Association’s 2019 Great Australian Cloth Nappy survey found that over half of families using reusable nappies purchased them second-hand. The Clean Cloth Nappies community has published this guide to buying reusable nappies second-hand.
Canning residents are eligible to access rebates on the purchase or hire of second-hand or new reusable nappies and accessories.
A few conditions apply:
