Rebates
City of Casey residents can claim rebates on the purchase of reusable nappies, sanitary products, composting and worm farming equipment as well as home energy and water efficiency products. All rebates are provided to help make it more afforable to go green. Sustainable products may cost a little more up-front, but in the long term they can save you – and the planet – much more.
Home Compost Systems

Did you know that nearly half of the waste produced by the average Australian household is food scraps and organic materials?
By composting your food scraps at home, you’re not only reducing waste, but also enriching your soil. This helps create healthier, greener gardens and streets, which in turn clean the air and reduce heat during hot summer days. Composting also provides valuable habitats for endangered pollinators and other essential insects and animals, all of which play a critical role in supporting urban ecosystems and local food production.
And let's not forget how gardening can boost our mental health. There’s plenty of research to back it up—gardening can help reduce stress, improve mood, and even add years to your life. Plus, growing your own organic food enhances your family’s well-being, so whether everyone’s out in the garden or not, the benefits are shared by all!
