Rebates
City of Casey residents can claim rebates on the purchase of reusable nappies, sanitary products, composting and worm farming equipment as well as home energy and water efficiency products. All rebates are provided to help make it more afforable to go green. Sustainable products may cost a little more up-front, but in the long term they can save you – and the planet – much more.
Reusable Sanitary Products

Over a lifetime, the average person who menstruates uses between 10,000 and 12,000 disposable sanitary products.
In Australia alone, around 300 million tampons and 500 million pads are sold annually, with pads taking 500 to 800 years to decompose in landfills.
Reusable alternatives—such as menstrual cups, reusable pads, period underwear, and period swimwear—offer both affordable and sustainable solutions.
A few conditions apply:
- The rebate is for 50% of the purchase price of eligible products (max $50).
- This rebate is only for reusable sanitary pads, menstrual cups, leak-proof underwear, period swimwear and wet bags.
- Only one claim per household.
- You must upload an itemised receipt showing the date of purchase.
