Frankston residents can claim rebates on the purchase of reusable nappies, sanitary and incontinence products. All rebates are provided to help make it more affordable to go green. Sustainable products may cost a little more up-front, but in the long term they can save you – and the planet – much more.
Reusable Cloth Nappies

Every minute, more than 300,000 disposable nappies are incinerated, sent to landfill or end up in the environment around the globe. The disposable nappy market is among the biggest contributors to public waste globally.
Reusable products may cost a little more up-front, but in the long term, they can save you upwards of $1,000 a year. Reusable nappies are an affordable and sustainable alternative.
The Australian Nappy Association’s 2019 Great Australian Cloth Nappy survey found that over half of families using reusable nappies purchased them second-hand. The Clean Cloth Nappies community has published this guide to buying reusable nappies second-hand.
A few conditions apply:
- The rebate is 50% of the purchase, with a maximum of $50.
- This rebate is only for cloth and swim nappies, reusable inner liners for nappies, reusable wipes and, reusable nursing breast pads.
- Only one claim per household.
- You must upload an itemised receipt showing the date of purchase.
