Terms and Conditions
1. Applicants must be current Inner West Council residents and must be occupants of the property requesting the rebate.
2. Applicants must provide a proof of residence with their name on the document. Accepted documentation includes a council rates notice, drivers licence or NSW photo card or utility bill. If the applicant is under 18 years of age and does not have any of these forms of identification, a parent or guardian will need to apply on their behalf.
3. Households can claim for the reusable nappy, sanitary and incontinence rebates.
4. The rebate is 50% of the purchase price (up to $150 per household) for reusable nappies and (up to $100 per household) for sanitary products purchased after 1 July 2023 excluding postage or delivery fees.
5. The rebate includes the folowing items:
- Reusable nappy products - reusable cloth and swim nappies, reusable inner liners for nappies, reusable wipes, wet bags, toddler night training pants and reusable nursing breast pads.
- Reusable sanitary products - sanitary pads, sanitary cups, leak-proof underwear and wet bags.
- Reusable incontinence products - washable incontinence underwear, waterproof cotton pads
6. The rebate does not include nappy hire services, biodegradable nappies, biodegradable sanitary items, single use items or swimwear (with the exception of reusable swim nappies only).
7. The items for which a rebate is requested must be purchased on or after 1st July 2023
8. The applicant must provide a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase. It must include the retailer's name, date and clear identification of name and cost of each individual reusable product purchased. A copy of the entire receipt or proof of purchase is to be provided.
9. For products labelled as both period and incontinence underwear, the applicant will need to apply via the incontinence underwear category. Where washable incontinence aids are covered under an NDIS package, they cannot be claimed for the Council rebate.
10. Rebate applicaionts are to be submitted online. If an applicant does not have computer or mobile phone access, applications can be completed by a carer, family member or with customer service staff at one of Council's service centres. Please note copies of proof of purchase and residence will still need to be provided. If you are unable to attend one of the service centres please call Council on 9392 5000 to make other arrangements.
11. The application portal is hosted by Rebately, the supplier engaged by Council to process the rebate. By submitting a rebate application, you agree to use the Rebately portal which may be subject to terms of use and share the information submitted with Council and Rebately for the purspose of processing your application.
12. By accepting this rebate particpants agree to participate in a user survey and consent to being contacted on the details provided in the rebate application for the purpose of Council conducting the user survey.
13. Inner West Council holds the right to reject any application.
14. The Reusable sanitary products rebate is limited to a set budget, once this budget is spent the offer will close and Council will stop accepting new rebate applications. Please check Council's Reusable Sanitary Product Rebate page to ensure the rebate is still available prior to purchasing products.
15. Council does not warrant any reusable sanitary product purchased through this rebate scheme and participants must make their own determination on such products including whether they are suitable for your purposes. Council accepts no liability in relation to your participation in this rebate scheme.
